I alert now, that this post is going to be a little bit longer than the usual, just because I have a lot to talk!!!

2011 has arrived and this time I made a New Year's resolution. I dind't eat the raisins as the traditions says, but I am now with some objectives that I want to accomplish even though I made only one wish. The first thing that I want to accomplish is to study, every day the subjects that I had that day to improve my grades in general. The second is more directly related to the English class and is about LJ entries. I decided to publish every day that we have English classes, a new entry so I can talk about the lesson and some other stuff that I want to talk... on Tuesday I will probably write the entry about things that I like so I can do the one about the class on Thursday, therefore having more to talk about. I had this idea, first because I will have a more updated blog, but also because I once had a little Journal, right here on blogspot, written in English in which I wrote texts and entries about my life, etc,. But that was like 2 years ago and I now feel really sorry that I have already erased that... so I'm bringing it back just like Justin Timberlake brought the sexy back hah...
After doing this rather long intro, I can say to you all, that I had a pleasant holiday and I hope you had too. Another thing that ihas to do with the portfolio, but nothing with my objectives, is to create a new tab on my blog to my Speaking skills. The teacher today, as she was talking about the portfolio she said that we don't have a Speaking section, but I think I could create a little space where I would just put a music player where you could hear me talk for 3-5 minutes or even hear me read some texts... I don't know what the teacher thinks about that, but if you are reading my text tell me something about it when you have the time, if you please !!!
Now to the class of today. We mainly, talked about planning (how, what and when ) the Spring term. Some of us are in a project, but I don't remember the name... but the rest of us are going to present a news report of BBC, Voice of America or whatever, and others are going to explain an advert. Many of us are expected to do their own presentations, Jose Diogo is going to do about Malcolm X, Catarina is going to do about her holidays as and Beatriz Ferreira is going to do about rastafaris too. For the rest that is not going to do the presentations, they are going to enter the Reading Contest. We had one in the first term, but this one is for real... xD We also have to read one of the 6 books the teacher told us about, they are: "Girls at war and other stories" , "Babette's Feast", " The importance of being earnest", "Animal Farm", "All my sons" and " The translator". I'm really tempted to read that last one because I think I saw the movie once and I liked it, but I'm not really sure I will have to research it and then Thursday I post the one that I'm going to read. We also had a little exercise today... It was the typical exercise that the world is going to end and we have to save 7 people who are we going to choose? We have a list of people with their occupations and their age and my team was all of them including me direct to continue the species and human race but one that would have also knowledge, I don't remember specifically who were the ones we chose so next Thursday I will do a more extensive text about that.
